Wellies.

Now that autumn has officially settled in - after two (hot, hot, hot!) Indian summer weeks - it's time to prepare for the long, cold, wet winter months. And as I picture the rain in my head, I can't help but think of wellies. I've secretly been wanting a pair of Hunter boots for a while but as they are quite pricey, I've been holding off any kind of compulsive purchase. Only in a few weeks, I'll be saying 'adios' to my twenties and I'm thinking that these would be a nice birthday present 'from me to me' to mark the occasion. What do you think: are they worth the extra money? I love the fact that they are elegant and that I could wear them around Paris without feeling like a frumpy mummy.

ps: a fun wellies photo found via Pinterest :)

  1. I vote yes! I think you'll really enjoy wearing them, versus a pair that would simply do the job. I have been wanting to get some for quite some time too, and this is a good reminder.

  6. Treat yourself lady, you totally deserve it. I'd LOVE a pair of Hunters, but Ben doesn't quite understand why they're so much better (and therefore expensive!) than an average wellie. But dude, check them out with those awesome floral socks! I need to show him that picture...

ps. love "me to me" presents! xx

  9. Love these wellies photos. I have a pair in pumpkin orange. I bought them 2 years ago and they still look and feel brand new. I would say they're worth it as they'll last you a lifetime.

  10. Do it! They are great for snow and mud too and well worth the investment. After 5 harsh winters and rainy springs mine look the same as they did 5 years ago.
