A sewing shop (in Barcelona).
As my urges for being crafty incessantly increase, I have been looking for somewhere in Paris where I could learn how to sew, knit and crochet. I have stumbled upon a couple of places but nothing like this shop in Barcelona. Founded by three mothers from Spain, Argentina and Japan, Costura is a place to learn how to sew. You can rent professional sewing machines, buy DIY kits, or attend workshops where the staff will teach you how to use patterns for making clothes for your kids (2-7 years). Costura also offers unique fabric and craft supplies from around the world. And if you don't have time to do the sewing yourself, you can choose any pattern, fabric and accessory and they'll make it for you. How amazing is that? Maybe I should start thinking of opening a similar place in Paris!

Mini polaroid magnets.
Ever since getting an iPhone I have become a little obsessed with photo apps: Instragram, Camera Bag, Hipstamatic, Polarock - you name it, I have downloaded them all. And though they are great for web purposes, printing a shot taken with the iPhone is mostly disappointing because of the low resolution. So how to best make use of all these photos sitting on your hard drive? Well, here's an idea: make tiny polaroid magnets out of them! Jennifer Kirk came up with this great tutorial which I'll be following as soon as I get back to Paris in an attempt to revamp our fridge.
ps: and how about printing your Instagram shots on mini tiles?

A rocking Vespa.
A grandfather, whose Vespa riding days were over, had the awesome idea to turn his 'retired' scooter into a rocking 'horse' for his grandson, little Diego. See more photos of this incredible DIY project.
