Sunday 3 July 2011

Hello, July.

Is that really you? I can't believe that half a year has come and gone already. Where's the pause button? Speaking of time flying, on Saturday I went to the hairdresser for the first time in eight months. Eight months! I think that's my all time record. My hair was looking pretty shabby to say the least but funny enough I got used to my crazy-long-root-showing hair and do not like my new look. I asked for a good trim and instead got half of it chopped off so I'm not too happy. Now I'll probably have to wait another eight months for it to grow back, ha. Tonight I am off to see one of my favourite artists play at the Salle Pleyel, a venue traditionally devoted to classical music concerts so should be extra special... that's if, she actually shows up and doesn't cut short her performance like she's known to have done in the past. Fingers crossed!  Hope you are all having a great weekend wherever you are. xx

  2. I know what you mean! Where the heck did this month spring from?! A busy year is a good year, I suppose.

Enjoy the concert! Cat Power is fabulous -- she is notorious around the world about not showing up!

  6. Tell me about it - is it really 2011? Really? We're there already? And half way through at that! Nuts!

Well - obviously time flies so your hair will be long again in the blink of an eye!

Love cat power! Hope you had an amazing night :)

  7. It's crazy how fast this year has gone. I really wish there was a pause button.
What do you mean shabby? You're French. You guys are all about the 'shabby' yet totally stylish hair. Hello Lou Doillon! xx

  8. I'm also guilty of going to the hairdresser once, maybe twice a year. Why do we wait so long anyway? Ah yes, life! I hope the concert was great, sounds like so much fun!

  10. I'm often too scared to get haircuts because they always seem to take off more than I like...which is why I end up getting two haircuts a year. I know, it's awful! Hope you had a great time at the show!

  11. Ladies, I'm glad to read I'm not the only one who goes to the hairdresser twice a year. Priorities have definitely shifted in the last year!

Cat Power was amazing! I had goosebumps as soon as she started signing. She has such a powerful yet soft, moving voice. I was glad she decided to show up, even though she sang with her back turned to the crowd most of the night!
