Children's capicity for learning.
Just popping by to share this engaging video on children's learning capacities that I spotted over on Claudia's blog. Sponges these little kindlywinks are, sponges!

i-Wood.
This wooden laptop for kids is genius. At home, I can never really be on the computer when L. is around because he'll often do something like this fdhjsgkaslgfhrjgkfdgjdghfjdgkrgirialghrjavnfj or better yet, he'll hit the delete button and wipe out emails I didn't even get a chance to send. Yep, bright screens + keyboards = two things a toddler finds hard to resist. And although at his age I am not 100% convinced an i-wood would distract my son from hovering over me when I have the computer on, I do think the concept is a good one. Kids learn by watching us and love repeating what we do. Granted, I am not currently writing this post with a white chalk but if I were a kid I would surely have the imagination to think that it were possible. Especially with a magic chalk. With the i-wood you could almost say "computer time!", guilt free for while you'd be creating emails/blog posts/younameit, your kiddos would be creating their own imaginary stories through drawing.
