Paris - Normandie - Paris.

Hello. Back to work today after another long bank holiday weekend (for a secular State, we do get a lot of days off thanks to little baby Jesus. I’m not complaining but it is ironic). It was a bit of an odd weekend. Lots of emotional ups and downs. The ups were spent with my little fella à la campagne and with my big fella en tête à tête in the city. The downs, well... I spare you those. Only ten days to go until I’m officially on holiday, but who’s counting?

City photos taken at Paris Plage.

  1. ahh, I see how you spent your 3 day!! Totally get your reasoning when it comes to the christian holidays in france...

Since I just started my job, no holiday for me just yet... what are your plans for the holiday?

  2. Oh yes, I remember that first year with zero holidays. So unfair. Where are your new offices lady? Hope you are getting to discover a new quartier and are not in stinky Boulogne like me! We are going to Greece for the holidays and will also be spending one week in Paris to catch up on everything we usually miss out on aka exhibtions and movies! Bises

  3. Thank you for your lovely comments :-). I totally understand the French saying you posted and it is so very, very true. We have a public holiday here today and made a point of laying in and snuggling for over an hour after I woke up. Who ever would have thought that learning to relax could be so tough? haha

  5. Great pictures. That reminds me I still have to sign my son up for piano lessons. Thanks for visiting my blog and sending a message. It would be so great to get to know someone over seas. I want to travel Europe so bad. I am saving up.

  7. I LOVE these photos. L is so gorgeous. Look at that little face! Here in Munich we celebrate a lot of religious holidays as well. Crazy but I'm not complaining. But unlike Australia, if it falls on a weekend we don't get the the Monday off. Same in France?

Ooo I'm excited for you. Any plans? xx

  9. i have always thought that strangely ironic about france... for a country that just loves its laicité it's surprisingly christian. but looks like a lovely weekend, even if there were downs :)
